Dulcenea Carter

Dulcenea is a Texas native, social justice and environmental activist with a deep love for life outdoors. In 2017, she decided to pursue her dream of outdoor adventures and new experiences, by moving to the most beautiful state of Colorado. Dulcenea currently resides in Broomfield with her husband. They have two very active children, who love to explore the outdoors with them. As a family they enjoy hiking, biking, camping, climbing and most recently kayaking. Although she is new to kayaking, Dulcenea is not new to water activities. She grew up by the Gulf Coast and being in, on or near the water is home for her. After attending her first Diversify Whitewater event, Dulcenea felt a strong connection to the group and immediately wanted to become an active member to help spread the cause. While on the board of DW, she dedicated her passion, time, and skills to building a strong, growing community in water-based recreation focused on representation, diversity, and inclusion.
