WHITEWATER KAYAKING
We include plastic kayaks, inflatable kayaks (IKs), and canoes in all of our kayaking events. Participants learn how to properly enter, exit, empty, and carry their kayaks, along with proper technique for moving the kayak forward, backward, and turning. Eager participants can also begin to learn whitewater skills such as the wet exit, bow rescue, bracing, and paddle roll.
WHITEWATER RAFTING
Ride as a passenger and learn the basics of raft guiding, we partner with commercial outfitters to offer rafting trips on rivers ranging from Class I-III+. All of our raft trips begin with a “safety talk”, where participants learn how to get in and out of the boat, how to take efficient and effective paddle strokes, and learn important safety & rescue skills. Then, you will head down the river to enjoy the rapids!
STAND-UP PADDLE BOARDING (SUP)
We use inflatable SUPs on a variety of flat water lakes and river sections, and our SUP trips are welcome to all ages. Our lessons teach participants how to properly get on your board from shore and the best way to stand for the first time. You will also learn proper technique for moving your board forward, turning, and accelerating, and how to find your balance and effectively deal with obstacles and wind.
